Heating and cooling your home’s air creates natural condensation. This can create a damp, moist environment, which is a perfect breeding ground for harmful contaminants such as mold, mildew, bacteria, and fungi.
If not treated, these contaminants can release dangerous spores into your home’s air, causing or aggravating respiratory problems like asthma and allergies. A UV germicidal lamp stops these pollutants in their tracks, killing them and preventing them from multiplying.
How it works: UV germicidal lamps are installed within your home HVAC system and target the warm, moist parts of your system, where these contaminants are most likely to grow. The UV light will also sterilize the rest of your home’s air as it passes through your ducts.
