A great experience in all respects. Marc came out and did a thorough assessment of our needs. Not the typical "let's sit down at the kitchen table" sales pitch. The proposal came later that same day, and Marc responded promptly and thoroughly to my follow-up questions. The day of the installation went smoothly. Marcus, George and Bob arrived exactly on-time. Came out on New Year’s Day within 30 minutes of calling. Quickly identified the problem with our furnace and had it fixed in no time!

We returned to our house about 4pm yesterday (12/31/23) to find our furnance not working. SmartHouse answering service person was very polite and helpful, promising a call from a service technician within an hour. Scott called in about 30 minutes, we discussed the situation and he said he could be at the house in about 30 minutes. We both had guests due at our houses in a few hours for dinner. Scott was professional, knowledgeable, and polite as he diagnosed and resolved the issue. We could not be more pleased with the manner in which this issue was handled and resolved.

I had a great experience with the technician Bob. He was courteous, knowledgeable and worked quickly. He swiftly had our boiler furnace back up and running during that horrible cold. This was my second time calling SmartHouse. My first experience with Luke, he was why we called the second time. Knowledgeable professionals with great sense of humors. Would highly recommend.

Great team. My house is 100 years old, and the electric system might be older. I’ve had these guys come out on Christmas to help me and my family, and they were there and fixed it, and were nice to boot. They do what they can, and they don’t invent problems for you to pay to solve. Very solid business, would use them again

We had Smart House Heating and Cooling visit us in early Fall due to one of our outside units had already frozen over and we had conerrns going into Winter. Techs advised older unit should be replaced but we opted to get one more winter out of the unit. The unit hard frozen over in January and we needed a replacement ASAP. Tim came out and said he could help us and get job done before the next hard freeze came through. The crew arrived and were efficient and professional. The temperature dropped all day and the crew worked all day inside and outside for us. Great job and Thank you for all the work. We would recommend the company and crew any day.

The Smarthouse folks have been nothing but splendid! Super responsive, respectful, and knowledgeable. I feel like they take my questions seriously and ensure that I understand all thats going on. They understand each rebate and tax credit and handled it for me. I have only had extremely lovely experiences and recommend them to all my friends.

The best in the biz! Called late in the evening for a broken furnace and Ryan was out in a couple hours. He diagnosed and fixed the problem in about 45 minutes and I had heat again. Highly recommend!

Excellent. My furnace died on Saturday. Contacted SmartHouse on Sunday. They called Monday morning and set up appt for Monday afternoon. Great consultation; good options; very good price. New furnace and AC installed Tuesday. Had a couple of problems but they worked through them very effectively. I am a very satisfied customer and would gladly recommend them. They did good work; cleaned up afterwards; answered all my questions; very professional. I’d give them a 10 out of 10.

I have been frustrated with my HVAC people for years. Finally had it and put out some bids and Smarthouse was not only the best bid but sent genuine, experienced maintenance adults to deal with us. They didn't try to oversell us on a new system but gave us good information to help us decide. Office staff has also been great. Looking forward to the regular service.

SmartHouse should be at the top of everyone's list when considering anything related to HVAC in their home. Their staff are experts in advanced and traditional HVAC technology. They take a diligent approach to every project, ensuring that systems are right sized for the home, rather than mindlessly doing a one-for-one replacement like some installers. Using building science, mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, energy engineering, and thermodynamics to guide their recommendations, you can be assured that the options presented to you are well thought out. All staff were very professional, courteous, and responsive. Our old system died during the week of August 21st, 2023, when temperatures were soaring above 120 degree heat index. They were able to replace our 23 year old system with an ultra energy efficient Daikin heat pump within 2 days! All at an exceptional value. They have my absolute highest recommendation.

Writing a thorough review because it is what helped me to pick this company, and maybe it will help reassure others they are making the best choice. Earlier this year, my parents' AC started malfunctioning in the house I grew up in. With much else on their plates, I decided this was one thing I could help them with. With a decidedly subpar experience with a company sent out by their home warranty, I did some research and made a short list of local companies that seemed to have the best reviews. Smart House was on that list, and due to their clear pricing for a diagnostic evaluation earned our initial business. Matt came out to the house and did a thorough workup, explaining in detail that our system was low on a type of coolant that was expensive because it was no longer made, and that even refilling it wouldn't guarantee that it wouldn't leak out or that our aging system wouldn't go bad from something else shortly after. He took time to answer many questions in a way that was clear and understandable. Without any pressure whatsoever, he went ahead and took measurements for a potential replacement just to make sure things could proceed as quickly as possible when we decided what we wanted to do. He further answered questions about what to expect with newer units and what it would entail to replace it. My parents then independently got a couple more quotes on their way to deciding on an AC/Furnace replacement. By all accounts, Matt was the most professional of the specialists they encountered and SmartHouse and their bid were the most clear as well as best value. Even as we proceeded, the office staff was top-notch. Jane was able to answer questions as well as help navigate that while things started under my name, it was for my parents' house and to get their sign-off as well. They were able to fit us in for the replacement faster than expected. Matt and Luke replaced the furnace and AC in a full-day job. Even things we had been worried about were already well thought out and addressed- for instance, the furnace needing a new in/out vent that we didn't previously have which they placed in a discreet area with an appropriate cover. All this was done in mid August, just in time for our brutal heatwave, and I can say confidently the new system tackled it with ease. From beginning to end, SmartHouse was an extremely professional and friendly company to work with. Every step of the way things were explained with ease and never once did they make us feel pressured. They are a company I will use on my own house when needed and gladly recommend to others.

SmartHouse was well-recommended and well-reviewed, so I was happy to get them out to take a look at my system. The tech was very knowledgeable and picked up on issues that another HVAC company missed. I was promised a quote in 24hrs. A few days later, I emailed to check on the status and never got a response. Two phone calls to the main office were met with "we will look into this and get back to you shorty," but they never bothered to call back. So in the end, this has just been a big waste of time.

I decided to switch my HVAC service to SmartHouse Heating and Cooling. Luke came to the house to inspect our system and was not concerned about our barking dog - Gus! He was terrific with Gus! He was extremely knowledgable, through, and helpful. I was surprised because SmartHouse was the first HVAC company I’ve had who didn’t try to sell me something - I really appreciated that! I strongly recommend SmartHouse!

I had them come out to insulate some hard to reach areas in my knee wall space. They arrived promptly and were very professional. They missed a couple spots, but came back out to remedy the situation.

Checked out thermostat. Explained how thermostat works in summer humidity. Made plans for service of attic AC and condo AC when attic temperature cooler. Will observe thermostat and report operation when returns for service call. Very knowledgeable and explanatory. RGL

Good honest company and fantastic technicians. If you need someone who knows radiators Bob is your guy, there are not many people who have the knowledge he has on radiators these days.
