Ameren’s FastTrack program, also known as FastTrack HVAC Pay As You Save (PAYS), is designed to make HVAC upgrades more affordable for Ameren Missouri customers. It does this through rebates and on-bill financing.
Ameren started this program as a way to give people with older, inefficient HVAC systems an opportunity to upgrade to something more efficient. When qualifying Ameren Missouri customers choose an eligible high-efficiency system, they may be able to take advantage of rebates, reducing the initial installation expense. Additionally, this program provides straightforward, on-bill financing for another portion of the cost.
To be eligible, you must be an Ameren Missouri customer who has lived in your home for at least 12 months. Ameren uses the past year of utility data to determine the projected saves your new system will provide.
The FastTrack program is not a loan. You won’t have to go through a credit check or any complicated financial processes. Instead, it’s designed to make things straightforward for homeowners.
Ameren’s FastTrack HVAC PAYS saves Ameren Missouri customers money now and later, with a lower upfront cost and more efficient electricity usage.
To get started, a SmartHouse project manager will enter your utility account numbers, information about your current home HVAC system, and our recommended system upgrades into Ameren’s system.
Ameren will use this to determine the estimated savings the new system will provide, which rebates you qualify for, and the amount of funding that they will provide for the new system (this funding will be 80% of the projected savings).
The remaining balance not covered by Ameren (your copay) can easily be paid by check, card, or one of our flexible financing plans.
Applying to the FastTrack HVAC PAYS program is easy. When you call SmartHouse, we take care of the process for you.
SmartHouse makes getting started with FastTrack easy for Ameren Missouri customers in St. Louis: We’ll meet with you to collect your Spire and Ameren utility account numbers, as well as information on your current HVAC system. After the visit, your project manager will provide this information to Ameren through their app, along with specifications regarding the proposed new system(s).
Ameren will use the information entered in the app to determine your eligibility and create an offer. If your home is eligible, they’ll send us a message with the offer information.

SEER2 and EER Explanation: A SEER2 rating is an efficiency rating that measures the total cooling provided by a unit versus the total energy used during a season. EER measures how efficiently a cooling system removes heat in 95° external weather. For both, a higher rating means a more efficient system.
